Luxury skin lightening
Real skin. Real results. Care made for you.
Dark marks and uneven tone in intimate areas are common, but that doesn’t make them easy to talk about. At FEMMÉ LAB, you can ask questions without embarrassment and receive a treatment plan built around your skin.
My goal is to improve the appearance of discoloration and uneven tone — never to change your natural skin color.
Why does pigmentation happen?
It’s about more than shaving. When skin is irritated or inflamed, it can produce extra pigment as it heals. The original irritation may disappear while a dark mark remains.
Ingrown hairs, friction from clothing, shaving, waxing irritation, breakouts, rashes, and harsh products can all contribute. Hormonal changes and some skin conditions may also play a role. Understanding the cause matters because treating existing marks is only part of the plan; we also want to reduce the irritation that can create new ones.
Why I chose to specialize in this
While doing Brazilian waxes, I kept hearing the same concern from my clients: they felt insecure about dark areas but didn’t know who they could comfortably talk to about them. I knew I wanted to do more than reassure my girls. I wanted to learn how pigmentation works and offer thoughtful care for an area that often gets overlooked.
I pursued specialized training in California and brought a professional treatment protocol back to my studio in Ephrata. Here, you can talk openly about your skin, learn what may be contributing to the discoloration, and feel informed throughout your treatment journey.
Areas I treat
Brazilian area · Inner thighs · Underarms
Treatment is $190 per area. We’ll discuss your concerns and assess the skin before deciding whether treatment is appropriate. Bundles & Save packages available.
How does the treatment work?
The treatment uses controlled exfoliation and professional brightening products to help improve the look of uneven tone. Calming and hydrating steps support the skin afterward. Your treatment is selected with your skin’s sensitivity, history, and response in mind.
This is a process, not a promise of instant or permanent change.
Results vary, and an immediate after photo may look different from the final result once skin has healed.
How many sessions will I need?
Lighter cases may take 1–3 sessions. More persistent pigmentation may take up to 6 treatments, depending on the cause, depth, and how your skin responds. Sessions are generally planned about 4–5 weeks apart, once the skin has fully healed and been reassessed.
After reaching a result you’re happy with, maintenance may be recommended every six months or once a year. Your aftercare and everyday habits matter: repeated friction or irritation can lead to new pigmentation.
Waxing and treatment timing
Wax first, then treatment: If you get a fresh Brazilian wax, your skin lightening appointment can be five days later, as long as the skin is calm, intact, and no longer irritated.
Treatment first, then wax: After skin lightening, do not wax the treated area for four weeks. Plan your waxing schedule around each treatment. If you’re unsure what to book first, message me and I’ll help you time it.
Am I a good candidate?
You may be a good candidate if you have dark marks or uneven tone in a treatment area, your skin is healthy and fully healed, and you’re willing to follow the preparation and aftercare instructions. We’ll review your skin history and expectations at your consultation.
We need to postpone treatment if you have:
A recent wax, shave, or sugar service within five days, or skin that is still irritated from hair removal
Cuts, open sores, a rash, active irritation, infection, or an active herpes lesion in the area
Skin that is currently peeling or healing from exfoliating acids, retinoids, or acne treatments
An active eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis flare in the treatment area
A recent laser treatment in the area; please allow at least three months and complete healing
Botox in the treatment area within the past week
This treatment may not be right for you, or may require medical guidance first, if you have:
A known allergy to ingredients used in the treatment, including lactic, glycolic, or salicylic acid
Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Per my treatment protocol, please wait until at least four months after giving birth and four months after breastfeeding has ended
Medication or skin care that makes your skin unusually sensitive; tell me what you use before booking
White or pigment-free areas, an unexplained skin change, or dark skin that is thick and velvety rather than a flat mark
I don’t diagnose skin or medical conditions. If a change needs medical assessment, I’ll ask you to see a qualified medical professional before we consider a cosmetic treatment.
Aftercare is part of your result
Your skin needs time to heal after treatment. You’ll receive specific aftercare instructions, including how to cleanse and protect the area and what to avoid while it heals. Please don’t pick at peeling skin or use unapproved exfoliants. Following your aftercare gives your skin the best chance to recover well and helps protect your results.
